JITO USA Dallas at the Jain Cultural Fair
On March 1st, 2025, the JITO Dallas Chapter, JERF, JSNT proudly co-hosted and participated in the Jain Cultural Fair at the University of North Texas (UNT), celebrating Jain culture through business showcases, student initiatives, art, culinary skills, and cultural performances.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Leah Kalmanson, Associate Professor and Bhagwan Adinath Professor of Jain Studies at UNT, for her exceptional leadership in organizing, overseeing and making the event a resounding success.
Event Highlights
- Keynote Speech by Prem Jain – An inspiring talk on Jain values, sustainability, and ethical leadership.
- Business Booths – Local Jain entrepreneurs displayed their ventures, from handmade crafts to innovative businesses.
- JITO Booth - Vaishali Jain, Shreyans Kothari and Aditya Pancholi alongwith Prem Jain shared information and benefits about joining JITO to the event attendees
- Student Engagement – Essay and art contests allowed youth to showcase their talents, with winning works published in Samayik: An Undergraduate Journal of Jain Studies.
- Culinary Showcase – Participants exhibited authentic Jain cuisine, promoting vegetarian and vegan lifestyles.
- Cultural Performances – Traditional music and dance brought Jain heritage to life.
