JITO endeavors to bring together an array of knowledge, experience and insight through its members, for the common purpose of business growth, economic empowerment and social service.

Our Objectives

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT (AARTHIK SASHAKTIKARAN):

Promote governance based on democratic processes that ensure equality, right conduct and value-oriented decision making. Encourage members to proactively participate in, contribute towards, and represent organizational values at the business, political, governmental, social, legal and industry platforms.

EDUCATION (SHIKSHA):

Promote, facilitate and foster education, academia and mentorship at a national and global level. Networking, professional growth and knowledge-sharing are key initiatives in JITO.

SERVICE (SEVA):

Support our local, regional and national communities through humanitarian, civic and charitable projects.

Facilitate a network of business professionals to achieve higher economic growth and prosperity.
Promote and invest in Jain startups by facilitating availability of venture capital funds.
Co-create employment opportunities and job banks for graduates and working professionals.
Assist young professionals through one-on-one sessions, seminars and workshops for skill development and professional growth through mentoring, counseling and training.

COALITION BUILDING

Build business and trade alliances among faiths and ethnic groups to advance issues of common concern. Our core belief is that the well being of the Jain community is directly linked to these partnerships.

DIPLOMACY

Organize high-level meetings with top business leaders and government oﬃcials to plan strategic, long-term trade and diplomatic policies on the critical issues aﬀecting our respective professional and business members.

GLOBAL TRADE

Create a network of business owners and professional leaders across all industries and sectors to promote economic development among Jains.

Provide scholarship and educational loans to needy Jain students.

Educate business owners on workforce relations, legal rights and responsibilities, tax reforms, insurance and employment benefits.
Advocate with national, state and local elected officials to promote domestic policies and pass legislation that supports JITO’s agenda.
Mobilize government lobbying efforts for favorable trade, immigration and business policy for JITO members.
Prepare and promote future generations of Jains for US Civil and Foreign Services and political positions.
Plan advocacy days and action alerts.

STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS

Amplify advocacy efforts through global media, television interviews, press releases, and op-eds.
Use social media as a powerful marketing tool to spread our message and gain support for important initiatives.
Publish an online Jain trade directory and business network.
Recognize and award people with extraordinary achievements in business, professional, academic, government and social services.
