Jain International Trade Organization visits Intuitive Surgical

On October 11th 2023, the Jain International Trade Organization’s leadership forum visited Intuitive Surgical. It was a wonderful opportunity for our members to learn about the company and their innovative use of robotics in surgery.

We were given a tour of the Intuitive Surgical facility, where we had the chance to see firsthand how their Xi system works. The Xi system is a surgical robot that allows surgeons to perform complex procedures with greater precision and accuracy. It is also less invasive than traditional surgery, which can lead to shorter recovery times and better outcomes for patients. We had the opportunity to try out the Xi system and perform surgical moves on a sample specimen. After the demo, we toured their manufacturing facility.

After the tour, we had a chance to meet with Monica and other members of the Intuitive Surgical team. We learned more about the company's culture and values, and we had the opportunity to ask questions about their technology. Everyone we spoke to was incredibly passionate about their work.
