Future Jain Leadership Program (FJLP) is committed to developing Jain leadership by providing youth with entrepreneurial education, leadership opportunities and mentorship services, helping them create, deliver, and amplify value from new ideas, regardless of their future career path. To sign up for the FJLP 2024:
FJLP's second chapter in Southern California, aims to provide an environment that fosters growth in children who are interested in taking initiative in the fields of leadership and entrepreneurship. In partnership with other FJLP chapters, the FJLP chapter in SoCal has provided an encouraging and guiding experience to members from different backgrounds.
Mentorship:
FJLP members will be connected to mentors with similar passions and career goals to explore potential on that field. One of our events is a Mentorship Program which is a platform used to connect high school mentees with professionals or college students. These mentors and mentees will be matched according to their field of interests and passions. Mentees can take advantage of this opportunity to receive guidance about anything such as college applications, college life experiences and more. Along with this, the mentee could receive internship and job shadowing opportunities from their mentors if they choose to do so.
Leadership:
Biweekly interactive trainings will take place to teach members how to lead teams and solve problems using critical thinking. This program is also an opportunity to achieve the esteemed JITO-FJLP Certificate reward upon completing the leadership program. Additionally, you can utilize the leadership skills and qualities you will learn in this program to start a club at your own high school or start your own non profit organization. The instructors will be trained by Sanjeev Tanna, the founder of Next Generation Nations and advisor to FJLP. Lastly, along with the live leadership sessions on Zoom, you will be provided with online resources to further support your training in leadership.
Entrepreneurship:
Engaging training sessions will take place on a biweekly basis to educate FJLP members on the basics of entrepreneurship. The Entrepreneurship program will have trainings where the basics of entrepreneurship will be discussed thoroughly. Many resources will be provided in PDF formats and videos that our Jain youth can watch. At the end of this program, a JITO-FJLP certificate will be provided as a reward for your hard work and excellence. You will be working alongside with Sanjeev Tanna and your mentor. There will be a showcase that the end of this school year in the spring to display your hard work that you have progressed on throughout the entire year.
