The 75th Republic Day of India was joyously commemorated on January 26, 2024, at the Consulate General of India in New York premises, marked by fervor and enthusiasm.

The newly appointed Consul General of India, the Honorable Shri Binya Pradhan Ji, graciously hosted a reception, extending invitations to JITO USA-NY leaders and distinguished guests from various political and religious organizations.


Representing JITO were Mr. Rajeev Pandya, Vice President of JITO USA, and Mr. Jigar Shah, Chairperson of JITO New York Chapter. During the event, His Honorable Consul General conveyed greetings and engaged in discussions about the crucial economic and political ties between India and the United States. He highlighted India's remarkable economic progress and the robust Indian Diaspora in the US, which strengthens the bond between these two democratic nations.

The ceremony included the singing of the National Anthems of India and the USA, followed by a patriotic dance performance. A special video message from Governor Kathleen Hochul of New York, along with congratulations from prominent US and local government officials across the North East United States, added to the celebratory atmosphere.

The Consul General extended an invitation to JITO USA leadership for a one-on-one meeting to strategize JITO's involvement in elevating the Indo-American relationship to the next level.

The program concluded with light refreshments, fostering a spirit of camaraderie among the attendees.
